Panasonic Home Phone

Translating Insights into a Design Story

2014
Role : Project/Design Lead, Pensa
From concept to pre-production refinement

To create a home phone that is still enjoyable to use in the age of smartphones, Panasonic came to Pensa and asked us to come up with insight-driven home phone designs. Through user interviews, secondary research and story platform studies we designed home phones that celebrate comfortable home conversations. One of the concepts was selected to push through production and now sold in the US.
As the project/design lead, I ran the research, extracted the key insights and created story platforms that helped the corporate client to understand and on board with the design direction. I designed the product from initial concept to fully detailed refinements, plus the UI concept.
